We had an absolutely fabulous time exploring East Maui with the Kenji, equipped with a rooftop tent. From the moment we picked it up, everything about the experience was seamless and well thought out. The Jeep itself was in great condition, super fun to drive, and more than capable of handling the winding Hana Highway. One of the biggest highlights for us was how well-stocked the Jeep was with essentials. From cooking gear and bedding to beach chairs and even a portable shower—everything we needed was already included. It made it incredibly easy for us to travel light and focus on enjoying the journey. Jay was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure the pick-up and drop-off times worked perfectly with our flight schedule, which took so much stress out of planning. You can really tell he cares about making the experience easy and memorable for his guests. The rooftop tent was comfortable, quick to set up, and offered amazing views when we woke up surrounded by nature. It really added a sense of freedom and flexibility to our trip, allowing us to camp in some truly stunning spots. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore Maui in a more adventurous, self-sufficient way. We’ll definitely be doing this again!

Overall a great experience, despite some logistical mixups and challenges (on both sides). The vehicle (van) was a great fit for our needs and the camping supplies were perfect and much appreciated. We also found the guide book they left in the car very helpful in making the most of our Road to Hana experience. The van itself ran well, despite having some bumps and bruises. As for sleeping in the van, it was generally fine but we could have used a little more padding. Even just two of the foam pads (like for the tent) to go under the futon would have been perfect.

We had a great experience. Our camper (Suzie) came fully equipped with all necessities. Pickup and Dropoff was super easy. Tent setup and cleanup took no more than 10 minutes

The jeep had everything and more that you would ever need camping. We were able to travel the island and stay in different areas without being confined to the same spot the whole trip.

Myself and my boyfriend travelled around Maui in this rooftop tent jeep for a week. We really enjoyed our time in this jeep and the hosts made it a very easy camping trip as they supplied us with all of the necessary camping essentials. They thought of everything! Jay shared his expert knowledge about Maui with us and provided us with very detailed explanation of the equipment and use of the rooftop tent which was easy to use.
